Our Galleries
A dedicated 1920s building unfolds across four levels of exhibition galleries, forming the core of Cloud Seven’s artistic life. The galleries present works from Frédéric de Goldschmidt’s collection alongside changing exhibitions featuring emerging and established artists, anchoring a dynamic curatorial program. While artworks extend into offices and shared spaces, the galleries remain focused sites for exhibition, dialogue, and experimentation.
Open to the public and free of charge during regular hours, Cloud Seven operates within Brussels’ fashion and design district as an active site of exchange. Artists and curators are invited to engage directly with the collection, fostering dialogue across generations, geographies, and perspectives. These exchanges move beyond the gallery—into the bar, the coworking spaces, and public events—connecting the building and its surrounding neighborhood.
Cloud Seven’s purpose is to integrate art into daily life by fostering connections and conversations among artists, curators, members, and visitors.

Our Exhibitions
Each year, two major exhibitions anchor the calendar: one resulting from a curatorial
residency opening in mid-April that coincides with Art Brussels, and another in early
September, timed with Rendez-Vous – Brussels Art Week. Special projects accompany
key moments in the city’s cultural calendar, including PhotoBrussels Festival in February,
Downtown Brussels Art in May, and MAD Parcours in November. The year concludes with
BXMAS-ART in December, an annual showcase of emerging artists and designers that
encourages direct acquisition, keeping the galleries active sites of discovery
and dialogue year-round.

The Collection
Art extends beyond the galleries and runs throughout the working spaces, connecting exhibition areas with offices and shared environments. The permanent collection brings together international contemporary artists alongside historical figures who shaped avant-garde movements, creating a dynamic atmosphere where art and work coexist and creative energy flows through the building.

Our Curatorial Residency
Cloud Seven’s curatorial residency was created to extend the reach of the physical collection and support the development of emerging and established curatorial voices. More than a program, it offers a platform for in-depth research, professional exchange, and meaningful encounters at the heart of Europe.
The resident curator benefits from full access to the collection, close dialogue with the collector, and a tailored program of studio visits and meetings with key figures in the Belgian art scene. The residency culminates in the curation of a major group exhibition across Cloud Seven’s 500 sq.m. exhibition space, opening during Art Brussels—a key moment for international visibility and exchange.
Through exhibitions, public programs, and research-driven initiatives, the residency fosters lasting connections and contributes to an active, forward-looking curatorial practice.
The Residency Coordinator, Gregory Lang — Independent curator, Gregory oversees and coordinates the residency program, supporting the resident curator through a tailored agenda and key introductions.

The Collector
Frédéric de Goldschmidt is a French art collector based in Brussels who has been engaged with contemporary art since 2008. He supports emerging artists, works closely with curators, and regularly shares his collection with the public. He has co-curated exhibitions including Not Really Really (2015), White Covers (2017), and Inaspettatamente (2021), and sat on the acquisition committee of Fondation KANAL, Brussels, maintaining a long-term commitment to artists and to the Brussels art scene and beyond.
The majority of works have been acquired directly from artists or their galleries, often at the time of their first presentation. This approach underscores Frédéric de Goldschmidt’s role as an art patron, committed to supporting emerging artists and fostering connections within the Brussels art scene.
